Recently I have embarked on a few trips albeit short in search of a monster Barbel, with only one blank in five a monster Barbel is still out there. A mix of short day and evening visits have seen Barbel to 7.6 landed and a few Chub to low 4's.

I've been impressed with the ocean pride mix. I've been doing different batches of paste, of different strengths. It seems to work very well
ReplyDeleteThe bait in general is very good quality as you'd expect, I'm on the Sausage Sizzle at the moment but the Ocean Pride is very good too.
DeleteDo you use just the base mix/paste or do you use the accompanying glugs? In floodwater conditions they do give an edge and boy they are very oily and strong in flavour.
